DePauw-IU Study on Islamic Influence Noted in Indianapolis Star
May 6, 2006,
Greencastle, Ind. - "A new study by sociologists from Indiana and DePauw universities finds that solid majorities of people in seven Muslim nations want Islamic law to be the basis for their societies," reports today's Indianapolis Star. "The findings released this week appear in the American Sociological Review and suggest that bringing democracy to Muslim countries would likely lead to stronger Islamic influences on their economic and foreign policies," continues the item in the "Religion in Brief" column. It notes that the research was conducted by DePauw's Nancy J. Davis and IU's Robert V. Robinson.
