The CW greenlights Muslim comedy pilot

New US network The CW has greenlit production on the pilot for a potentially controversial new comedy, Variety reported on Tuesday.Aliens In America, written by Moses Port and David Guarascio (Just Shoot Me), follows a family who send their 16-year-old son on a foreign exchange program.Things "don't go as planned", however, when the exchange student turns out to be a Pakistani Muslim who "wears a kufi on his head and a shalwar kameez over his body".If it gets the greenlight for next season, the show is being tipped as a partner for freshman hit Everybody Hates Chris.
