PHILADELPHIA -- Two people who police believe were men dressed in garments often worn by Muslim women forced a woman entering a Philadelphia International Airport terminal into a car Thursday and robbed her of her jewelry.
Police said the robbers also made off with than $1,000 in cash.
The 22-year-old woman, whose name wasn't released, told police she was forced into the car at gunpoint at about 1:30 in the afternoon. Police say the woman told them she was pushed into the back seat and, after being robbed, was released uninjured at the edge of Fairmount Park.
Police said the robbers also took the battery from the woman's cell phone.
Police Capt. Benjamin Naish says the men knew the woman, but the motive for kidnapping her is still under investigation.
